Becker Avionics Introduces BXT Wi-Fi Module — Bringing ADS-B IN Capability to the BXT6500 Transponder Family
Miramar, FL — Becker Avionics proudly announces the launch of its new BXT Wi-Fi Module, a compact add-on designed to deliver ADS-B IN capability to the BXT6500 family of ADS-B capable 1090ES transponders. This innovation extends the functionality of the BXT6500 line by enabling pilots to receive real-time ADS-B traffic directly to their cockpit tablets, enhancing situational awareness and flight safety across a broad range of aircraft platforms.
The BXT Wi-Fi-33 Module creates a secure wireless network that allows GPS-enabled tablets running ForeFlight or other compatible EFB applications to display surrounding traffic information in real time. The module integrates seamlessly with existing BXT6500 installations, requiring only minor wiring changes, and provides an elegant, low-power solution for operators seeking to modernize their flight decks with connected situational awareness tools.
“By introducing the BXT Wi-Fi Module, we’re giving pilots an easy, cost-effective path to bring ADS-B IN data into their flight planning and navigation tools,” said Dave Oglesbee, Director of Sales and Marketing. “This upgrade reflects Becker Avionics’ ongoing commitment to innovation, interoperability, and pilot safety — all hallmarks of the Becker Avionics brand for almost 70 years.”
