JB3100 - Junction Box
The Junction Box is designed for aircraft installation and is used for connecting transceivers and navigation receivers to Audio Selector and Intercom Units. The Junction Box JB3100 is specifically required for versions AS3100-11/-12/-13, i.e. for Audio Selector and Intercom Units with high-resistance AF inputs.
The Junction Box is not required for versions AS 3100-1/-2/-3/-4 as these Audio Selector and Intercom Units contain terminal resistors for the receiver AF outputs. The mike line outputs of these units can be connected directly to the mike input of the transceivers.
The Junction box contains the matching networks and the audio and PTT line distribution system for the avionics equipment on two printed circuit boards. The two PCBS are housed in a metal enclosure.
The mike audio line board is designed for the connection of the transmitter mike inputs and mike lines of three audio selector panels.
The Junction Box contains only passive matching networks and does not require a power supply voltage for operation.
The junction Box is mounted in the aircraft by means of the mounting plate provided. Junction Box and mounting plate are connected by means of a DZUS fastener
